We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephani Lamoni and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephani, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
One of my favorite quotes is “Ideas are cheap, execution is everything.” I actually stumbled across this quote browsing the internet yearssssss ago and its always stuck with me. I actually have it in the bio on my personal IG page. I absolutely love this quote because its really just 100% true. Some people tend to have all these ideas in their mind that they just never execute. They never make the business plans, they never do the research on how to even get things going, they simply just do not follow up on their own dreams. So what does it even mean to have all these great ideas if you never even execute them? It keeps me motivated to make my dreams a reality. To be less of a talker & more of a “do-er”. I really live by this quote.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As you know from our previous interview we create pop up shops/networking events for small businesses. Im really proud of how much success we achieved in our 1st year in business. It definitely was not an easy road but determination and consistency was the driving force behind our success. Its definitely been more difficult now that we have been going through the Covid 19 Pandemic but we are looking forward to coming back bigger and better once we’re able to hold an event again. One of the biggest lessons i learned throughout this process is to remain consistent. In order for your business to grow you have to work on it every single day and thats just a plain ol fact. What i would like the world to know about Pop up & Shop up is that this is a business that was really started from the ground up. There were no loans or investors that made any contributions to getting us started just me and my credit card lol. Alot of people dont know this but theres only 1 person that runs the business which is me. I do absolutely everything on my own so this is why im so passsionate about what i do because i really put alot of time and work into my brand.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
1st stop- BRUNCH, i love to eat & theres alot of great brunch spots in Miami that i love such as “Beaker & Gray”, “American Social” & “Bulla” in Doral. Next- Hollywood Beach, I love going to the beach & Hollywood beach is a calm beach to visit. Im not into the whole “South Beach vibe” anymore im more into actually relaxing. For drinks-I would go to “The Wharf”, ive never been and heard the drinks are good as well as the view. Miami has really nice places to visit and really fun things to do especially since the weather is so nice. Beside going to brunch, the beach and for drinks other things i would do would be go ride jetskis, or take a ride on a boat.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Honestly, the person thats put the least amount of actual work into my business is the person who deserves the MOST credit which is my 3 year old daughter. If it wasnt for her Pop up & Shop up would have never been created. Becoming a mother gave me the most ambition and drive that ive ever had and because of her is the reason I am able to juggle a million things at once and not lose my mind. She really is my motivation and deserves all the credit.
