One thing people don’t see from the outside is just how emotionally involved we become with our clients. I’ve had people cry in my chair, celebrate big milestones, vent about hard days — and somehow, I’m right there with them, brushing out their ends, cutting out the dead ends in their hair, and holding space for their story. It’s such a vulnerable position to be in someone’s personal space like that.
