Meet Kevin Cavite | Co-Founder Rhovive

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin Cavite and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kevin, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
To be honest, it’s been crazy and all over the place, but I still find time to stay fit and prioritize what my wife and I call “quality time.” There are a lot of long days and endless nights building Rhovive, but it doesn’t feel like work when you’re building something people genuinely enjoy. It also helps that we get to meet other entrepreneurs along the way.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We started Rhovive over a year ago because we wanted to build something cool that we could actually use. Cris was honestly disgusted with how many additives are in most hydration products, so we figured something cleaner could be done better.
Cris works in healthcare administration, and Ma and I are nurses, so we had some idea about what we wanted but zero experience making a product or working with manufacturers. It wasn’t easy. We had our regular jobs to pay the bills, so this meant endless nights trying to get the right ingredients figured out. That took months. Then finding a manufacturer who would work with our vision was one of the hardest parts.
Cris kept us organized and on track, plus his background in writing and TV production helped with product development. Ma and I used our nursing experience to handle multiple tasks and connect with people when we started promoting. We also do photography and videography as hobbies, which helped with the creative side.
We’re not influencers or people with trust funds doing this for fun. We’re just hard-working people who thought we could take on the challenge of building something we actually believe in. We’re still figuring it out as we go, but that’s the honest truth.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d take them to the local restaurants I actually go to, not the touristy spots, but places with great authentic food. If it’s truly my best friend, we’d do something active too like pick up basketball at the park or play pickleball.
We’d hit up weekend wellness events or community fitness classes to see how locals actually live. During the week, we’d enjoy the beach when it’s not crowded or join run clubs and pickup games.
Honestly, the best part would be showing them the lifestyle that makes this place special. People here stay active, eat food from different cultures, and genuinely enjoy being part of the community rather than just hitting tourist spots.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate this to our team. We started Rhovive because my childhood friend Cristian Vega came to me with a dream. Now we’re co-founders, and my wife Ma Theresa Roxas joined the team too with her endless support.
