We have the good fortune of connecting with so many bright, accomplished folks from a variety of industries and we often ask them to tell us what they feel has been the most important factor behind their success.  We’ve shared some highlights below.

Sandi Glandt | High-Performance Productivity Coach

Too many women have been made to feel guilty about wanting to have a fulfilling family life, enjoy meaningful personal relationships, and achieve professional success. Laura Barrera | Fashion Branding Expert

Starting in my home country, Spain, my determination early on to learn about the fashion industry and be entrepreneurial led me to dive into this arena and work with Internationally recognized brands like Zara and Carolina Herrera. In doing so I got the opportunity to work with renowned photographers, designers, and organize big production shoots for fashion campaigns that helped my hands on learning experience. Understanding how to promote such brands in a saturated market, connecting with their ideal customers, and generating digital business to sell online was incredibly gratifying and eventually motivated me to start my own fashion focused studio, Gig Miami. In doing so I recently partnered with The Fashion Lab NYC that selected me to educate a database of 5000 stores in the US to help them learn how to promote their fashion business online. Read more>>

The most important factor that I feel has helped my brand grow is honesty. I try hard to make every experience, product or resource I create and delivery to my audience or clients come from a place of truth and comfort. The more trust you can build between the relationship, the stronger your brand foundation becomes and genuine growth flourishes off that principle. Read more>>

T’Keyah D. | Dietitian & Plant Based Influencer

I think it’s fair to acknowledge multiple important factors behind having success (periodt). Above all the most important thing is to believe in yourself! Secondly appreciate even the smallest amount of support from loved ones and even the people you barely know. I truly believe that when your mind is made up, set on your goals, and you believe your own mission, you can do anything! Other important factors? Prioritize your finances towards your goal, whether it be education, start up supplies, certain types of technology, things you can use to keep organized…set side some cashflow to invest in your dream. Lastly, walk the walk, you can only “fake it till you make it” for so long (lol). Embody the very thing you represent, be your own brand! Read more>>

The most important factor to me as of right now is enjoying what I create. I don’t ever want to lose the hunger or desire to create new things every chance I get. Pousye | The Haitian Hustler

The most important factor behind my success is my self-discipline and consistency. Family, friends, and peers tell me, often, that I am a super disciplined person. Pre-COVID-19, I wake up between the hours of. 4:00 a.m.- 5:00 a.m. to get ready for my day. My day would begin with a work-out, shower, and coffee. Then, I would be at work by 6:30 a.m. to be ready to teach by 8:00 a.m. Then, after the workday, I make sure that I am in bed by 8:00 p.m. In between lunch breaks and after work (4:00 p.m.), I focus on building my brand, honing my design skills, and executing the tasks on my to-do-list. It is important for me to remain consistent so I practice self-discipline every day through my routine. Also, due to my discipline, I am always on time (others may say I am too early). Since COVID-19, my routine has changed which has affected the way I practice my self-discipline. Read more>>

Aboud Kobaitri | Chef and Proprietor

I think the most important factor behind my success is my constant desire to create a new and ever changing menu. I have always had an abundance of specials and even our regular menu changes almost nightly to allow myself to incorporate the new creations I am always exploring. The other factor I believe is behind my success is never compromising on quality or taking shortcuts. Regardless of what situation is thrown at us I will not compromise the quality of food we bring to our customers. When things are difficult it is easy to take short cuts or use lesser products but it is during the hard times when I believe we have to maintain the level of quality we are known for. Read more>>
