We had the good fortune of connecting with Carolina Alay and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carolina, so before we jump into specifics about your story and work, let’s start higher level. What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
I have learned that good things take time to come. I used to be in a rush and at the beginning had very limited timelines, with time I understood that it’s not about how quickly you get to do something, instead is about how not to get lost and keep your north wherever life takes you

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Blue Minds LLC is a family oriented company that provides Applied Behavior Analysis Services specialized in Autism treatment. Opening the company was the easy part, maintaining the company over the years and overcoming all the obstacles has been the real challenge. Initially, the company only offered private services, but little by little we started providing insurance covered services. We currently offer in-home, school and community services. I would like to be known as a person who cares about others, and supports them to reach their full potential.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I like quiet places surrounded by nature. Usually during the weekends I like to go with my family to a local nursery to see plants or go to a park. I also enjoy going to art walks. Did I mention I wanted to be an artist?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I always remember a phrase that my uncle Omar Franco tells me when I feel defeated, he says life is like a bike resistance test. It’s not about how fast you go, but instead how long can you last.
