Meet Anilly Cona

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Anilly Cona again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Anilly, always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
I’m Anilly, and art is my true passion—it’s something that fuels me and keeps me grounded. I am a project manager for a property management company, I find that the balance between my technical skills and my creative abilities is what really drives me. My job in project management keeps me focused on organization, problem-solving, and strategy, but it’s through creating art that I can truly express my emotions and push my boundaries.
Balancing both can be a challenge, but I thrive on it. I love how my job sharpens my attention to detail and planning, while my art allows me to unleash my creativity and think outside the box. This dynamic between the technical and the artistic not only keeps me engaged but also allows me to grow in both areas. Every piece of art I create is a reflection of my journey, blending the structure of my work life with the free-flowing nature of my creative side.
The highlights of my journey have been the moments where I’ve felt the most connected to my craft and the satisfaction of knowing that art is at the heart of who I am. I’m excited about where I am today and eager to see how my work will continue to evolve.

Awesome, so we reached out because we wanted to hear all about what you have been up to since we last connected.
Since my last interview with the magazine, a lot has changed—I got married, and my husband and I have been settling into our new home, creating our little piece of heaven together. It’s been an exciting chapter as we build our life and a space that feels uniquely ours.
Alongside these personal milestones, I’ve also continued my journey in project management, and I’m thrilled to share that I obtained my certification. This has allowed me to hone in on the intersection between creativity and organization, finding ways to bring artistic elements into structured, strategic environments. My project management career has sharpened my skills in planning, problem-solving, and execution, and I’m now focused on blending those technical skills with my passion for the arts. It’s this balance between the creative and the structured that keeps me energized and inspired, allowing me to grow in both my personal and professional life.
With every step, I’ve become more committed to embracing both worlds—the technical side of my job and the artistic expression that keeps my soul alive. The journey has been about finding harmony, and I’m so grateful for the experiences that have brought me to where I am today.

Was there a moment in your career that you can tell us about that illustrates or demonstrates the kind of person you are, your approach, ethos, etc.
Throughout my career, I’ve learned invaluable lessons that continue to shape who I am as a professional. Working within an association has taught me the importance of navigating complex dynamics, and while many may lean on politics to get ahead, I’ve chosen to prioritize honesty, transparency, and kindness. I’ve learned that success doesn’t come from conforming to others’ expectations, but from staying true to your values and doing what’s right, even when it’s not the easy path.
The past year has been especially challenging, and while I haven’t always agreed with every decision around me, it’s taught me the power of grace and resilience. In moments of pressure, I’ve learned to maintain composure, show respect, and provide excellent service, all while staying focused on my bigger goals. I’ve been given an incredible opportunity to be a part of a major capital project and though it’s not always been smooth sailing, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of what it takes to navigate tough situations and support teams through adversity.
What’s most important now is that I’ve learned to lean into these challenges, knowing that they’re opportunities for growth. Moving forward, I’m applying these lessons to better handle the complexities of leadership, communication, and teamwork. I’ll continue to lead with integrity, never compromising my values, and I’ll embrace the lessons learned from difficult situations as stepping stones to becoming a better version of myself in every project I take on.
Above all, I’ve learned to trust in the process, knowing that with faith, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to my integrity, I can face anything that comes my way.
