Meet Jessica Woolverton | Founder & CEO Wellness Coaching

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Woolverton and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
At J WolfPaX and The Wolf Den Mobile Wellness Lounge, our mission goes far beyond wellness services. We’re focused on helping people and communities build resilience, connection, and sustainable human performance from the inside out.
Our work addresses a growing issue impacting workplaces, athletes, and communities alike: chronic stress, burnout, disconnection, and declining mental and physical well-being. Through science-backed wellness experiences including sauna therapy, cold plunge, compression therapy, guided nervous system regulation, and leadership-based team experiences, we create environments where people can reset, reconnect, and perform at their best.
We intentionally bring these experiences directly into communities, workplaces, youth programs, athletic events, and nonprofit spaces to make wellness more accessible and experiential rather than something reserved only for luxury settings or elite athletes.
A major part of our social impact is our commitment to community partnerships and youth development. We regularly support nonprofit organizations, youth sports leagues, charity races, mental health initiatives, and community wellness events throughout South Florida. Our goal is not only to improve physical recovery, but to help people develop emotional resilience, stronger relationships, and healthier ways to navigate stress and adversity.
At its core, J WolfPaX exists to help people thrive together. We believe stronger humans create stronger teams, stronger communities, and ultimately a healthier world.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career path has definitely not been linear, and honestly, I think that’s one of the things that makes both my story and my business unique.
Professionally, my background spans leadership development, social work, athletics, wellness, and community engagement. Before launching J WolfPaX and The Wolf Den Mobile Wellness Lounge full time, I spent years helping develop young leaders and veterans through The Posse Foundation, where I served in multiple leadership roles, including Program Director for both Posse Miami and the National Posse Veterans Initiative. That work deeply shaped how I view human potential, resilience, team dynamics, and the importance of creating environments where people feel supported and empowered to grow.
At the same time, athletics and wellness have always been central to my life. I played collegiate basketball and later had opportunities to play overseas, experiences that taught me discipline, adaptability, and mental toughness. Over the years, I became increasingly fascinated by the connection between stress, performance, leadership, recovery, and human behavior. Eventually, those worlds started to merge together into what would become J WolfPaX and The Wolf Den.
What sets us apart is that we are not simply offering wellness services or recovery modalities. We are creating experiences that help people reconnect with themselves and with each other. We combine science-backed wellness practices with leadership principles, nervous system regulation, resilience training, and human connection. Whether we are working with a corporate team, athletes, youth organizations, or community events, the goal is always bigger than a sauna or cold plunge. It is about helping people perform better, lead better, and feel better from the inside out.
The journey has absolutely not been easy. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve faced uncertainty, financial pressure, self-doubt, setbacks, and moments where the vision felt much bigger than the current reality. Building something meaningful from the ground up requires an enormous amount of resilience, adaptability, and faith. There were many moments where I had to learn how to pivot, trust the process, and continue moving forward even without guarantees.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that growth rarely happens in comfort. Some of the hardest seasons of my life ultimately became the greatest teachers. I’ve also learned that relationships matter deeply. Community, collaboration, authenticity, and how you make people feel are often more important than titles, status, or perfection.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that this work is deeply personal. J WolfPaX was built from lived experience, from years of working with people, leading teams, navigating adversity, and understanding how disconnected and overwhelmed many people feel today. Our mission is to help create healthier humans, stronger teams, and more connected communities.
At the end of the day, I don’t just want to build a successful business. I want to build something that genuinely impacts people’s lives and helps redefine what modern wellness, leadership, and human performance can look like moving forward.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If one of my best friends were visiting Fort Lauderdale for a week, I’d want them to experience the full mix of what makes this area special: incredible food, water, culture, wellness, nightlife, and the unique energy that South Florida has when you really know where to go.
First stop would absolutely be Proof Wilton Manors, my partner Marcy’s restaurant. I genuinely believe it’s some of the best food in Fort Lauderdale. The atmosphere is warm, creative, and welcoming, and the food is elevated without feeling pretentious. It’s one of those places where you can feel the heart behind the experience. Honestly, if someone leaves Fort Lauderdale without eating there, I question their decision-making skills a little.
From there, I’d build the week around a balance of adventure, connection, and hidden gems.
For daytime activities, we’d definitely spend time on the water. Fort Lauderdale is called the “Venice of America” for a reason, so I’d want them out on a boat, paddleboarding through the canals, or spending a beach day near Las Olas Beach. We’d probably do a fishing trip too because being out on the ocean resets your nervous system in a way therapy sometimes can’t compete with.
We’d spend time walking and exploring around Las Olas Boulevard for the restaurants, art galleries, coffee shops, and overall energy. Then I’d mix in some of the more local and community-driven spots that make South Florida feel alive.
For nightlife and social energy, Wilton Manors is always a great time. The community there is vibrant, inclusive, artistic, and full of personality. I’d probably take them to spots like Rosie’s Bar & Grill for brunch or drinks because the atmosphere is just fun and unapologetically South Florida.
I’d also want them to experience the wellness side of what we do through J WolfPaX and The Wolf Den. So somewhere during the week, there would absolutely be a sauna, cold plunge, and compression session mixed into the itinerary. South Florida can sometimes feel nonstop and overstimulating, so I think building intentional reset moments into life is incredibly important.
If timing lined up, I’d also try to bring them to one of the local wellness events, beach workouts, run clubs, festivals, or community gatherings because Fort Lauderdale has this really interesting blend of fitness culture, entrepreneurship, creativity, and nightlife all colliding together.
More than anything, though, I think the best part of Fort Lauderdale is the people. Some of the most interesting conversations I’ve had in my life have happened here with entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, chefs, wellness practitioners, and people from completely different backgrounds all crossing paths in the same spaces. There’s an energy here that feels ambitious, expressive, and alive. That’s the side of South Florida I’d want someone to experience most.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Without question, my biggest shoutout goes to my family: my mom, Barbara; my sister, Sarah; my brother, Aaron; and my partner, Marcy. None of what I’m building would exist in the same way without their love, support, encouragement, and belief in me through every season of life.
My mom has been one of the greatest examples of compassion, resilience, and unconditional love that I’ve ever known. She taught me the importance of showing up for people, leading with heart, and staying grounded in what truly matters. My siblings have always been part of my foundation as well, reminding me where I come from and keeping me connected to family, perspective, and humor through all of life’s ups and downs.
Marcy has also been an incredible source of love, creativity, encouragement, and inspiration in my life. She constantly reminds me of the importance of authenticity, artistry, connection, and believing in what’s possible, even when things feel uncertain.
I also have to acknowledge the mentors, colleagues, and communities I’ve been fortunate to learn from throughout my journey, especially through my work in leadership development, social work, athletics, and community wellness. So much of J WolfPaX and The Wolf Den has been shaped by the lessons, relationships, and human experiences that others have poured into me over the years.
At the end of the day, none of us builds anything meaningful alone. Behind every mission-driven business is usually a whole pack of people helping carry the vision forward.
