We had the good fortune of connecting with Ricardo Bello and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ricardo, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Perseverance, effort and faith are essential to succeed in what I do. I started very early, when I was a teenager and I’m still in the art world today.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I got professional recognition with a lot of effort and dedication. In addition to being a journalist and a comedian, I’m a designer. That’s how I started, drawing celebrities that I liked work and that, in some way, were an important part of my life. One of the lessons I learned is that no matter the size of your fame, money, we need to be humble, always.

About my work…well, I do comedy shows, I have a blog that can be accessed all over the world, but whenever I meet people who know my work, I talk to them. It is important to have this contact with the people, the fans, always. And I also like to say that it’s nice to take advantage of the window that work opens to do good deeds, help those in need, especially in this pandemic times.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I usually say that being with a good company, during trips and tours are always more pleasant. Getting to know tourist spots with people we like, friends, relatives is very interesting. Taking great photos. Have lunch or dinner at a famous restaurant and, of course, go to a music concert, visit museums… there are always good things to do in a great city with the people that we love

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My message is dedicated to people who try to make the dream happen. No matter how far away it seems. It is through effort and dedication that you will make it happen. In my personal and professional life, I grew up with effort and also, of course, with the support of my parents.
