Meet Sabi Procacci

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sabi Procacci and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sabi, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I got married young and at that time we didn’t have much money so we skipped wedding photography and instead asked a friend to take our photos. Needless to say they turned out horrible and we never had any photos that really showed who we are. This inspired me to become a wedding photographer and document the most important day of peoples lives. I am not only hoping to document the day but make people feel something, show my couples how incredibly beautiful and unique their love is.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a destination wedding photographer with a deep love for storytelling- not just through images, but through emotions. My work is rooted in a desire to preserve intimacy, nostalgia and the subtle magic of human connection. I’ve photographed weddings in Europe, the Caribbean, the US but what truly sets my work apart is how I see- not just what’s in front of me, but what’s felt in the in-between moments.
Before photography I studied economics and briefly worked as an economist for a non-profit in Milan, Italy- where I am from. I had no idea that soon I’d be trading data for film and airports, but it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. The transition wasn’t easy, it was a leap into the unknown. I built everything from scratch, trusting the process and just learning as much as I could.
Over the years I’ve learned that my version of success isn’t about the biggest portfolio or the fanciest gear. It’s about trust. When couples let me into their day, their stories, that’s sacred. My hope is that my work makes people not only remember but also relive and feel how their day evolved.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live on the other coast in Naples- but since Naples has a very old, retired population, I am always in Miami. If my best friend from Milan would come to visit, I would do some of the following:
We’d start the morning with walk/run at South Pointe Park – it’s quiet and scenic maybe with breakfast at Pura Vida (acai bowl) or Full Bloom Vegan (I am plant- based) and then a beach day at the 1 Hotel South Beach or the Soho Beach House, followed maybe by rooftop cocktails at the Goodtime Hotel.
Day 2 I would show her the Design District – galleries, architecture and designer boutiques, lunch at Mandolin Aegaen Bistro which has the dreamiest garden and then wander around Wynwood Walls after for a pop of street art and a matcha at Panther Coffee.
Day 3 Time to slow down with a morning at the Biltmore Hotel and then explore Coral Gables and the Fairchild Tropical Garden. Dinner at Glass & Vine in Coconut Grove under the banyan trees.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First of all I want to thank every single couple who has ever trusted me with their memories and also the endless support of photographer friends and industry peers who inspired my journey, gave helpful tips, resources, growth strategies, and peers who I loved working with such as wedding planners, videographers, DJ’s make up artists, day off content creators. Last summer a few of my industry friends and I traveled to Italy to organize a luxury wedding shoot in Lake Como that stayed close to my heart. So the shoutout goes to Carmen Davila from @eventsbycarmen, Dani Taverna @dualityartistry, Sharon Osp @sharonosp and Lexi Rabelo @lexirabelofilms
