We had the good fortune of connecting with Rodolfo Troncoso and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rodolfo, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
Being a parent and a entrepreneur is a very challenging combination for the simple fact that your income is not stable. As an added challenge being a parent takes a lot of your time and attention. This leaves little time to focus on your business/career. However, the one good thing about living the entrepreneur life is that you can be flexible with your time to be around as they grow up. Basically I work nights and weekends but i get to be around most days and my daughter gets to see me most of her waking hours as opposed to other parents that only see their kids in the morning and usually before bed, I feel I have created a great relationship with my 3 year old daughter for this reason.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My brand Satori Sounds is about empowering and supporting other artists like myself. I play music for a living but when I am not playing music I work with my busines doing Audio Visual services. I make it a point to hire those same musicians to help me with the A/V and event production work.

In my many years playing music in Miami I have come to realize that some of the musicians that are out there gigging with me are amazing Grammy winner musicians with long careers but have to work day to day to make a living. Sometimes gigs are not great, the conditions well below what these guys should deserve but they are still there. I find this incredible, people have no idea how it works for a gigging musician. I love to incorporate these guys into my business because they are incredible professionals that see playing music very differently. I like to say that we are Musical Mercenaries because we have to do almost any gig to pay the bills. We have to be versatile, creative, professional, humble and play music with or without inspiration. There is no better person to hire and I want my business to reflect that.
