Where are you from and how did your background and upbringing impact who you are today?


Through our work we have had the good fortune of seeing firsthand how success comes in every shape, size, color, faith, and orientation. More importantly we’ve learned that success is often the result of people embracing their unique backgrounds and so we’ve asked the community to tell us about their background and how it has impacted where they are today.

I grew up in Miami, Florida, and moved around a lot throughout my childhood. I was raised in a single-mother household, surrounded by the strong love and support of my mom, grandmother, and extended family. I am from Caracas, Venezuela. Since I was a little girl I had the luck to have my mother teach me how to dance. I grew up in an environment where grandma grandpa aunt dad mom sisters everyone loves to sing and to dance. It runs through my vains. Read More>>

I’m originally from New Jersey. My parents gave me the best childhood they possibly could, I was very lucky to have such cool parents, Growing up in the 90s in a lower middle class family,
And I was fortunate enough to have everything I ever needed and wanted. I danced competitively from age 3-15. My parents were entrepreneurs for my entire child hood, but divorced when I was 12, which was a very pivotal moment of my childhood. Read More>>

I am from a small town in Denmark named Birkerød. My love of art started with my mother who was an artist and would take me with her to art class after school. My mother also fueled my love of tennis. At home, all of the siblings played tennis and eventually became quite good at it.
