Success is a word that holds different meanings for different people. For some, it’s about education and gathering as much knowledge as possible throughout a lifetime. For others, it’s financial—accumulating the wealth needed to support themselves and others comfortably. There are countless individual definitions of success. When I think about success, I prefer to view it from a hindsight perspective. To me, success means having lived the happiest and fullest life possible. When my time comes, whether it’s at 30 or 105, I hope to have spent the majority of my life smiling, surrounded by people I love and who love me in return. Read more>>

Defining success is a unique question and can vary from person to person. Success can be everything from personal achievements to career milestones. For me, success is closely tied to how I feel in my daily life. I ask myself whether my daily routines support my well-being and or am I taking care of my mind, body, and soul? This includes staying hydrated, getting enough sleep, exercising regularly, eating nutritious foods, and engaging in activities I enjoy, such as reading, biking, and taking walks on the beach. When I feel balanced and fulfilled personally, this sense of success naturally extends to other areas of my life, including my career, relationships with family and friends. To me, success is about harmonizing life’s challenges and experiencing a sense of fulfillment. Read more>>

When I find myself in a situation where I don’t know whether to keep going or give up, I ask myself three important questions: 1. Have I done everything in my power to keep this ship afloat? 2. Does this project/person/ place align with my current values, goals and beliefs? 3. Does the good outweigh the bad in this situation? I’ve started many projects and had to give up. I believe knowing when to give up and keep going is an essential part of the journey to success. Not every project, business idea, or situation is supposed to be long term. Sometimes situations are meant to be building blocks for what’s to come. Often times we overexert ourselves in situations because we don’t want to look like a “failure” but it’s always important to take a step back and look at the bigger picture. Read more>>

When deciding whether to keep going or give up, I believe there’s no such thing as truly giving up. Instead, it’s about focusing our energy on what we truly desire. Sometimes, we need to take breaks to recharge and return with renewed strength and a brighter light to shine. Taking a break doesn’t mean you’re giving up; it’s an opportunity for a fresh start and a chance to view your dreams or goals from a different perspective. It allows you to strategize based on what you’ve learned along the way. So, breaks are essential for growth and progress. Read more>>

In life… pursuing new interests and hobbies makes me happy. I don’t consider myself an expert in any of those pursuits but there is real joy in trying new things. For me, it’s been scuba diving, hiking, flying sailplanes or playing tennis. But the most rewarding of all is spending time with my family and watching the kids grow up. In business… the same applies regarding the pursuit of new projects. While it’s always great to see a project completed successfully… it’s the creative excitement for the next project on the horizon that keeps me going. Read more>>

“I decided to pursue an artistic career because I’ve always felt a deep passion for art and creativity. It’s a way to express my emotions and thoughts in a unique way. This is something I can’t stop doing; it’s my connection with the creator. I see it as a gift that I must use to serve others; it’s a social obligation. Work-life balance is something I’ve learned to prioritize more as my career has progressed. Over time, I’ve come to understand the importance of choosing projects that align with my sense of peace and well-being. I’ve realized that if a project is likely to cause stress and anxiety, it’s not worth compromising my balance, and I choose not to take it on. By being selective about the work I engage in, I ensure that my professional life supports, rather than detracts from, my overall happiness and tranquility. Read more>>
