Meet Dr. | Therapist, DBH & Holistic Health Practitioner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr., how does your business help the community?
The world doesn’t need more surface-level self-help. It needs spaces where truth and healing coexist. At ELNA Therapy, we offer counseling for those ready and able, but we also recognize that therapy isn’t accessible to everyone. So on our socials, we create free, trauma-informed and holistic resources that help people face the root of their pain — not just mask symptoms. We focus on trauma education (childhood and otherwise), emotional intelligence, mind-body wellness, and self-exploration, because when people heal, they stop passing down unhealed patterns. That’s how we make social change: by helping individuals rewrite their inner narratives so they can build healthier families, workplaces, and communities. It’s also how we make people feel less alone — which is really why I started it in the first place.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
ELNA Therapy started from a simple belief — that healing shouldn’t feel unreachable. I wanted to bridge the gap between therapy and everyday life by creating tools, conversations, and resources that make self-awareness, emotional healing and physical health more accessible. What sets us apart is how human it all is. There’s no performative positivity or surface-level advice — everything we share comes from lived experience, clinical understanding, and a real desire to help people feel seen.
I’m most proud that what began as a small idea has grown into a community of hundreds of thousands of people around the world who show up with so much honesty and heart. Getting here hasn’t been easy. It’s been years of learning as I go — balancing business growth with creative work, staying grounded while navigating algorithms and burnout. And a lot of mistakes, can’t forget those. The biggest lesson has been to stay close to the “why.” When you lead from authenticity, people can feel it and connect.
What I want the world to know about ELNA Therapy is that it’s not just a business — it’s a movement built on compassion, education, and truth. My biggest mission is helping people help themselves.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit, I’d take them to my favorite place: Disney! Or we’d keep it simple: sunshine, good food, shopping, and time to breathe. We’d spend a day at the beach with iced coffees and no schedule, then go shopping somewhere local. One night would definitely be Thai food (I’m obsessed), followed by a quiet stop at a cozy bookstore. The rest of the week would be easygoing: sunsets, real conversation, good meals, and rest. Not rushing around, just feeling fully present.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Honestly, I wouldn’t be here without my daughter, my husband, and the incredible community that’s grown around ELNA Therapy. My daughter works side by side with me on everything — every post, every project, every creative decision. She brings so much heart and brilliance to this work, and I truly couldn’t do it without her. My husband of over thirty years has been my constant — steady, patient, and endlessly supportive through every pivot and late night. And then there’s our community… hundreds of thousands of people who show up with such honesty and vulnerability every day. Their trust, their stories, their willingness to heal out loud — that’s what keeps me going. It’s such a privilege to do this work with them, not just for them.
